Seven Oaks Library News

Note from Ms. Cecil

December is off to an exciting start in the library! In celebration of Computer Science Education Week, students across grade levels are diving into coding. We're exploring the basics—code, program, sequence, and loop—and practicing our new skills using online resources such as code.org and BotLogic.

In 1st grade, we're also reaching for the stars with an introduction to astronomy, while taking a closer look at the winter season, ice skating (yes, in the library), and traditions from around the world.

Our Battle of the Books Club and Student Newspaper have officially launched with our 4th- and 5th-grade students. We can't wait to share our first issue with you—stay tuned!

😊 Ms. Cecil
